We all know that the criminal justice system is flawed and it needs to be fixed, but where are the proposals to fix it? Well we believe people make mistakes in life, it happens, no one is perfect. But should someone’s mistake that happened as a teenager carry with them for the rest of their life? We say no. Right now those who are convicted as a juvenile under the age of 18 can have those records sealed. We believe that kids are still not mature the day after they turn 18 either, and so this should be extended to all crimes committed under the age of 21. So that people who have made mistakes as a youth get the second chance they deserve.
